last night August 8, on the Indian Act. What an eyeopener.
As Levant advocates, the Indian Act or whatever it is called HAS TO BE CHANGED. No two ways about it. I sincerely hope the "strong majority" Conservative government of PM Stephen Harper will bring about the proposed changes as soon as possible. I had no idea that Native Canadians (that's my own way of describing First Nations or Indians) could not buy land without prior approval from the Governor General and the various restrictions imposed on these original inhabitants of Canada.
