How strange! How can people be held up at gunpoint in the UK?

 
And stranger still ... nothing was stolen.  And, isn't  that entire island supposed to be a gun-free zone?   Even the police there don't carry guns.... I thought the only guy who can carry a gun in the UK is James Bond 007. So how come these bad guys got guns and why didn't they take anything?   Strange!  Something smells, especially given who was held up.   I think a message has been sent and received.

Former British PM Blair's daughter held at gunpoint in London. The daughter of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was held up at gunpoint during an attempted robbery as she was out walking in London, local media said on Thursday.
Kathryn Blair, 25, a barrister, was targeted as she walked down a central London street with her boyfriend and a group of friends, the BBC reported.

Police confirmed an incident involving two male suspects with a gun took place in central London on Monday evening.

"The victims were a man and a woman; the suspects were two males," they said in a statement, adding the incident was being linked with another attempted robbery nearby 30 minutes earlier.
"On both occasions a firearm was seen but not used - no shots were fired. None of the victims were injured and nothing was stolen during the incidents," police said......
