Every four years, in between presidential elections, conservative activists gather to take stock of some of the most prominent names in the Republican Party -- and consider which of them has what it takes for a successful run for the White House.

That gathering, the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, takes place this Thursday through Saturday in New Orleans. 1. Palin is a Presidential hopefull? Is she going to quit her career in broadcasting? This time she didn't even make it a year this job before quitting!

  2. Iceman, have you see her employment contract? Was she on a regular payroll with Fox? I don't think so.
If that's how careers and jobs are graded and distinguished, then I can say I am working as a "stock analyst" or a "stock trader" because I buy and sell stocks once in a blue moon.
Michelle Malkin comes on Fox many a time, would it be accurate to say that Michelle Malkin works for Fox?

  3. NCHORAGE, Alaska - Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, will return to her broadcast roots and take her conservative message to Fox News as a regular commentator, the cable channel announced Monday.

"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Palin said in a statement posted on the network's Web site. "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Fox said that according to the multiyear deal, Palin will offer political commentary and analysis on the cable channel, as well as Fox's Web site, radio network and business cable channel.

  4. Baron von Toolbooth - anything you read by Assoc.Press, take it with a pinch of salt.
Palin's engagement with Fox networks is based on number of segments and TV time. She is not an employee of the Fox network, not in the sense that Beck, O'Reilly and others happen to be.

If one wants to think of Palin in a negative light, there are lots of views from which to perceive and proceed. You have taken one of them.
