there's no doubt, in my mind anyway, that any of the other nincompoops know anything of anything that's going on in the Muslim countries of the Middle East, leave alone Syria.  It's a sad day when one has to admit that the leader of one's own country is a stupid-so-and-so compared to the leader of  another country.
