The upheaval in the moslem world... How it all started and how it might end

Things are moving at a breakneck pace. Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Yemen and before you know it, it might be the UAE and the sheikdoms. Whatever the outcome, we will all remember that it was a street vendor in Tunisia who got the ball rolling.

  ....The received wisdom  is democracy will somehow solve the problem. This sounds good, but isn’t true. Democracy is a process, not an outcome in itself. Processes don’t guarantee outcomes.............
