Rob Ford would do great things as Tourism Minister .....

come to think of it, he would be able to hold on to his present job with ease while officiating even more successfully in the additional mandate.   Just thinking about how the Toronto lefties would completely lose it and go gaga-booga-goo-goo if that happens, makes me happy.
Nice vid at link.  I am suffering from a bad case of laziness today and haven't bothered to embed it  in the post.

Mike Strobel writing at TorontoSun:
Toronto riding high on Rob Ford's exploits Mayor a walking tourism slogan.
Everybody is wringing their hands because Rob Ford is “bad for Toronto.”

To hear the talking heads on air and at City Hall, you’d think we still have SARS, like our mayor is scaring tourists away.

Bollocks! Tourism is booming. We’re breaking records, according to new Tourism Toronto numbers.

In 2013, last week’s release gushes, we had more overseas visitors and sold more hotel rooms than ever. Most notably, we welcomed 2.18 million Americans, a 9.7% jump over 2010, the year you-know-who was elected.

Surely the draw is not just all those fancy new tropical fish on Bremner Blvd. And it can’t be the CN Tower, now sixth on the “world’s tallest” list and falling fast. The Eaton Centre is nice but it’s, well, it’s a mall.
No, I think the (not so) secret to our success is our mayor. If only we can see it, exploit its full potential.

Jimmy Kimmel’s video tribute to Toronto late Tuesday, following his chat with Ford the night before, was pure gold — and just the tip of a motherlode..........
