So ... what's happening in France's former colony of Muslim Mali ?

You gotta wonder if all the news outlets in the West are controlled by one single "ON" or "OFF" switch, and then you have to also wonder who or what is controlling that single switch.  We live in a strange world indeed...that's for sure. There's hardly any news about Mali from our esteemed MSM here. ... it's like poor Mali and the inhabitants there have ceased to exist.
The socialist madcap Hollande of France has suddenly decided that Mali is too much of a problem as he has  his hands full to quell a revolution brewing in France at the moment,  and want UN peacekeepers to take over the mess in Mali.

The U.N. Security Council unanimously approved  on Thursday the creation of a 12,600-strong peacekeeping force in Mali starting July 1, which will be supported by French troops if needed to combat Islamist extremist threats in the West African country.
France, aided by some 2,000 troops from Chad, began a military offensive in January to drive out Islamist fighters, who had hijacked a revolt by Mali's Tuareg rebels and seized two-thirds of Mali.
The U.N. peacekeeping force - to be known as MINUSMA - will assume authority from a U.N.-backed African force deployed there to take over from the French. Most of the African force, known as AFISMA, is likely to become part of the peacekeeping operation, diplomats say.

Five suicide bombers carried out two simultaneous  attacks on soldiers in Mali on Friday in another indication of the growing coordination of operations by militants against African and French forces.
The attacks only killed the bombers and wounded two Malian soldiers, but they highlighted the continued threat posed by the al-Qaida-linked militants, four months after France launched an offensive to oust them from urban centers in this West African nation.
Four men entered the northern Malian town of Gossi at around 4:30 a.m. Friday, according to local official Sidi Ben Hamou. Three blew themselves up at a military checkpoint, wounding two Malian soldiers.
"People thought it was water in the bottles, but it was the explosives that were inside," Ben Hamou said. The fourth suicide bomber attempted to reach a Malian military camp in the town but was shot and killed by soldiers before he could do so, said Hamou...........

Morocco News Tribune:
is reporting that Morocco dismantled  two terrorist cells seeking links with others in Mali.

The UN says the second-in-command general  of the current international support mission in Mali has been found dead in his hotel room.
A statement released late on Saturday said General Yaya Seyni Garba likely died from a heart attack.
Damian Cardon, a communications adviser for MINUSMA, said the body of the army general from neighbouring Niger was found on Saturday morning.
Niger is one of the West African countries contributing forces to the French-led mission in northern Mali.....
