The Passion of Pamela Geller

Geller's blog is not only a constant reminder of that all-time intellectual Ayn Rand, Geller herself seems to be a living-talking-walking modern day Ayn Rand and a beautiful one at that.  If only there were a million more like her.

.....America is under attack from within at the highest levels of power. Barack Hussein Obama's policies are bringing America to her knees. Domestically, Barack Obama is contemptuous of capitalism and rugged individualism. Internationally, he is enabling Iran's Islamic bomb, is inveterately hostile to Israel, and generally appears intent on turning America's historical enemies into friends and friends into enemies.......

...It became all too clear after his election how proud Obama was of his Muslim name, background, and family. He made this plain when he gave his very first interview to Muslim media and boasted of these things. He suddenly became proud of the very things that were verboten to speak of during the campaign. That was the level of deceit and obfuscation....

...Ayn Rand wrote of statism that
a statist system -- whether of a communist, fascist, Nazi, socialist or 'welfare' type -- is based on the ... government's unlimited power, which means: on the rule of brute force. ... Under statism, the government is not a policeman, but a legalized criminal that holds the power to use physical force in any manner and for any purpose it pleases against legally disarmed, defenseless victims.
With chilling prescience, Rand said, "The basic principle and the ultimate results of all statist doctrines are the same: dictatorship and destruction. The rest is only a matter of time."....

...But what really led to the downfall of Bush's leadership was the falsity of his premise. He wanted to believe, like Condi and Powell and the soft diplomacy crowd, that Islam would negotiate with the West. Islam cannot negotiate. Yet still the West continues its pursuit of the impossible, despite great risk. This is a function of the Western mind. These people think it inconceivable that talk can't solve anything and everything, that war is an indelible part of the human condition. But it is. War is as much in the makeup of man as sex, food, art, love, all of it.

And wars must be fought. They will not disappear, but we will. ...
